  • Fight with Elegance






    MetroEast Community Media served as a sponsor of the 2nd Annual Fight with Elegance event that took place on 8/7/2010.  This annual event is a fundraiser to build awareness about breast cancer treatment.  Elegant Funky has teamed up with 4th Street Brewing on this event that and featured local soul diva, Linda Hornbuckle.


  • The Center for Advanced Learning

  • Civics 101 - The Portland Plan

Steve Dotterer, Principal Planner with the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, will lead a discussion of the more provocative issues facing us as the new Plan for the city's growth and development is being crafted.  The event is taking place at Bi Partisan Cafe at 6 pm.  Click here for more information.

  • Fairview's 4th Annual Chili on the Green Festival

This sanctioned district cook-off of the International Chili Society took place September 19th from 10 am to 6 pm.  The day's events included the cook-off, live music, beer & wine, kid's carnival and a poker run.  See their website for more information - click here!

The Greater Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce debuted this fine talent show this year.

  • Hot August Casino Night

Hot August Casino Night took place on August 1st. The annual fundraising event for the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce was an evening of fun, food and a fantastic good time. Click here for more information regarding the event: Casino Night.

  • Annual Gresham ArtWalk

  • Summerfest 2009

  • Mississippi Street Fair 2009

  • Center for the Arts Plaza Grand Opening

The Center for the Arts plaza in Gresham is celebrated its grand opening with music and food. The plaza is located near downtown Gresham at 2nd and Hood Avenue. See Center for the Arts for more information.

  • Mt. Hood Pops Orchestra

Players in the Mt. Hood Pops come from all walks of life and are of all ages. They have in common a love for music as well as the ability to play their instrument competently.   • Soroptimist International Gresham - An Evening in the Vineyard

MetroEast Community Media is proud to support this fundraising event that will benefit the new after-school program offered by the Salvation Army. The benefit was presented by SIG, an organization dedicated to the betterment of the lives of women and children in the community.   • Pints & Policy Night with Agora

MetroEast Community Media was proud to partner with Agora of the City Club of Portland on our last Pints & Policy night. The event took place on January 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 4th Street Brewing located at 77 NE 4t Street in downtown Gresham (just a few blocks off of light rail).   • Troutdale Bite & Bluegrass Festival

  • Mt. Hood Jazz Festival

  • Teddy Bear Parade

The Annual Soroptimist International of Gresham Teddy Bear Parade took place on September 26, 2009 in Historic Downtown Gresham. 

  • People for Parks Summit

  • East County League of Women Voters

The LOWV presented a community forum on October 14, 2008.

  • The 10th Annual Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce Economic Summit

This year's summit - Try Local First - took place on Thursday October 8th at the East Hill Church in Gresham.

  • Cinco de Mayo

The first annual event took place at Plaza de Sol located at 18709 SE Stark in Gresham.  A free event that included music, storytelling and food.
